Nasal cancer is a common form of cancer in dogs, and is the most commonly diagnosed cancer of the respiratory system in that species. Dr. John S. Reif, a veterinarian at the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at Colorado State University, demonstrated an association between ETS and canine nasal cancer. Interestingly, Dr. Reif found a higher risk of nasal cancer among long-nosed breeds of dogs exposed to Environmental Tobacco Smoke.
